Jb's Downtown Grill

JB's grill is a local joint with your typical American cuisine. The location is in an older building with beautiful brickwork and hardwood floors. The atmosphere could use a minor facelift, but the natural look of the building has a nostalgia look to it. With minimal things on the walls, they seem to focus on their food. The hamburgers are served on a hoagie bun, which is a little too much bread per ratio of patty to my preference although the burgers were cooked perfectly. The deviled egg was very tasty with a slight hint of zest to it. Chicken fingers were crispy and delicious. The fries are skin left on, fresh cut with no extra additives as far as salt and pepper. They come out a little more on the softer side than the crunchy side, but nothing that a dash of salt or some malt vinegar can’t help. The location of the building being downtown Lancaster is amazing. The options of shops and other places to check out, give JB’s location a prime destination for a fun evening out in downtown Lancaster.

First time ever being here. Pulled pork slider with everything on it was amazing! We had the pork/ chicken and chicken/cow burgers and they were delicious. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Granted, it was a bit slow here in a Saturday afternoon which was surprising. We were impressed by the food serving portions. We will be back here sometime soon.

Great tasting food. Big portions. Clean. Good service. I got the works skillet and my wife had the veggie omelette. The cheddar biscuits are made in house. Potatoes were crispy outside and soft inside. Definitely recommend. Our total for food and one coffee was a very fair $29

Excellent dinner spot! The quality of the food was top-notch, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend the Brum Burger (pictured) and the Pig & Cow Burger—both were packed with flavor especially with spicy ketchup and herbed mayo. My side salad even came with a deviled egg, and just like the other reviews said, it was absolutely delicious. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Great food and service. The French fries are hand cut and fresh. The Brum Burger excellent and same for their sampler. Home made coleslaw too very good. We are from out of town and be back next time we we are the area. Worth the visit.

Two quarter patties side by side on a toasted hoagie bun. A variety of toppings. Made to perfection. Even the sides, coleslaw and onion rings, were better than most places. Menu does include other sandwiches, salads and desserts. Also, they offer breakfast. The service was fast & friendly. Nice atmosphere. One seems more for dining. If in the Lancaster downtown area, this place will not disappointment, highly recommend.

JB'S Downtown Grill is simply a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner. It's a downtown grill with sidewalk café seating if you choose the outdoors or you can enjoy the inside with it nostalgic atmosphere. Of course none of that matters if the menu is not inviting or the food is not up to your expectations. JB's to my enjoyment fulfills all of the requirements for a downtown sidewalk grill and that is what keeps us coming back. Today, I forced myself to not order the Cuban sandwich which I seem to always order because it is excellent. I kept seeing the staff delivering other menu dishes to other patrons and the burgers always looked delicious. The thing is, I love burgers but the Cuban they make had a spell on me. Today I ordered the JB Classic Cheese Burger. It comes with several toppings but I chose marinated tomatoes, jalapeño mayo, lettuce, and dill pickles on a toasted hogie roll. All burgers come with two 1/4 pound burgers served side by side. The beef is ground daily in the kitchen and all the other ingredients are fresh as well. I take leaving reviews seriously because real life helpful info is the best way I know of to make informed purchases. The least I can do is be honest in hopes that it may help someone else. JB'S Downtown Grill will not leave you disappointed. I will add that if you try the lemon blueberry cake it may leave you speechless.

This was our first time here. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, answering any questions we had. We ordered the Brumburger and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, onion rings, and 2 slices of cake. The burger was huge; 2 patties side by side on a hoagie bun. It was decent but could have been more flavorful. The wrap was large and tasty. I was a bit disappointed with the onion rings. They have saltine cracker breading. I'm a fan of beer battered rings, but could see how that breading would be better on the fish that they have. The cakes were nothing special. I've had better. Overall, would definitely return, but probably try something different--maybe brunch.
